Chapter 33;v.1

וְזֹאת הַבְּרָכָה אֲשֶׁר בֵּרַךְ מֹשֶׁה אִישׁ הָֽאֱלֹהִים אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי מוֹתֽוֹ

And this is the blessing, with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death.

How did Moses bless the Children of Israel? Rabbi Joseph Karo states that his blessing was that each Jew should be “the man of God before his death” – that every Jew should be in the state of being a ‘man of God’ because he considers himself ‘before his death’ [he considers this day perhaps his last, and therefore he repents of all of his sins daily]. Likewise, the Sages said (Avot 2:10): “Repent one day before your death”, that one should realize that each moment is precious, since it might be his last moment on earth.(Rabbi Mordekhai HaCohen)

באיזה ברכה ברך משה את בני ישראל? אומר מרן רבי יוסף קארו: “איש האלקים לפני מותו” שיהא כל איש ישראל בחינת “איש אלקים” מתוך שרואה עצמו “לפני מותו”. על דרך זאת אמרו חז”ל (אבות ב,י): “שוב יום אחד לפני מיתתך”,שייקר כל רגע ורגע, כאילו הוא הוא הרגע האחרון.
